if you haven’t yet tasted a french macaron (not to be confused with overly sweet coconut passover macaroon), i’m sorry. these delectable sanwich-like-cookies pack so much flavor, moisture + punch – they are like secret french treasure troves. not just taste and texture (buttercream center, what) but macarons are so gosh darn pretty too! i’ve rounded up some macaron inspired favorites to get your palette watering. and once you decide it’s time to taste the magic, my favorite bisous, ciao just opened at 101 stanton st so you are in luck! bon appétit!

if cupcakes were a trend you enjoyed despite being over saturated, look forward to next delicious wave. hailing from parisian royalty, taste buds celebrate the upcoming “it” sensation: macarons. truly my absolute most favorite dessert: bisous, ciao. macarons recently re-launched their website with beautiful updated photography and 3 mouthwatering collections.
each macaron is made individually by hand. owner, tanya, was trained in paris and displays her commitment to french tradition presenting perfection in each gorgeous pastry.
beyond blatantly appealing to my visual senses, these delectables have impressive, delicate and intricately layered flavors. with so many new options to chose from, i find myself brainstorming occasions just to try them all! <grandmother’s should have a different day from mother’s day>
clearly i’m gushing – it is simply that i am so excited to share this elegant treat with you!
