metro doubles as bomb shelter


spent the weekend in washington dc visiting old stomping grounds with wonderful company.

friday went to the smithsonian craft show, which was smaller than i had anticipated.  couldn’t tell who the intended audience was because the assortment was so varied, but my favorites included iron design company, deborah faye adler + andrea janosik – the latter of two hail from brooklyn.  yeps, traveled four hours – 8 total to come home with a fort green necklace (adler’s):

saturday was spent at the hirshhorn enjoying a little respite from swampy oppressive heat (no really, i love the sun but they were out of 2ball-screwballs)

and now i’m going back into my cave of prep for handmade cavalcade, renegade and bazaar bizarre <which i know you are sick of hearing about but hey it’s not a blog world>. it’s an 80 in coney, going to do the most important things (soak up sun, eat, art) world. xo, xo
